Would highly recomend this romance

Wish I could give this novel 10 stars. Good so very good. Amy Jarecki is a new author for me. In purchasing her novel Captured by the Pirate Laird, the book description hit all the right cords with me on what I like in a romance story. So I was ready for a good read. This story was so much more than just a good romance read. At 65 I have been reading romance novels for over 40 years, this novel was right up there with some of the best. The premise of the story is this:
On her way to the husband she has never met, Anne is kidnapped along with the ship she is sailing on. Busting down the door to her room, the pirate discovers her. He is taken with her beauty but doesn't know what to do with her. Finding out she is the wife of his greatest enemy, Calum devises a plan to ransom her back. He doesn't plan on his untamable attraction to her, or hers for him. Anne doesn't know what to do with her feelings for Calum. Knowing she is already wed to another they share stolen kisses but that is all. When she is returned and Calum is captured, she finds out how truly cruel her new husband is. Upon hearing of Calum's escape she knows she must find her way back to him.
If you like a theme of Pirates, innocent virginal brides married by proxy to a man old enough to be her grandfather, a evil, cruel, diabolical villain, with uncontrollable hot sizzling passion and interesting characters and a well written romance story than this book is for you. I have picked up a copy of her The Highland Henchman novel and will let you know how that is. I highly recommend this novel to all who love a good historical romance.

WOW! Amazing!

WOW 5+ stars!!! Captured by the Pirate Laird is amazing! This is the first book I have read by Amy Jarecki but it sure won't be the last!! Captured by the Pirate Laird is about a sweet, independent and caring woman, Anne, who is wed by a proxy marriage. She is dreading meeting her husband for the first time. Not only does she not like that she does not know him, he is old enough to be her grandfather. Anne is put upon a ship to meet her new husband, but her journey quickly takes a detour. Calum MacLeod is a strong, sexy highland laird who is trying to provide for his starving clan. He has resorted to pirating a ship in order to feed and clothe his clan. What he does not bargain for is Lady Anne. I was captivated by Amy's writing from page one. From the time I picked up Captured by the Pirate Laird, I finished reading it a day later. This story will pull you right in and you feel as if you are apart of the book and it's characters. I laughed and cried along with the characters and not only loved the main characters but all of the characters who played a part in the book. This book has it all, romance, love, sexy scenes, action, adventure and lots of twists. The twists and turns of this book will have you on the edge of your seat and ready to jump into the book to shake some of the characters. There were a couple of parts I was ready to throw my kindle. I was so happy with the ending of this book and hope there will be another book to follow. Thank you Amy for a wonderful book and I look forward to reading more of your work!

A Scottish adventure as I like them!

When I saw the cover of CAPTURED BY THE PIRATE LAIRD, I told myself this book will be perfect for me to read. Well, Amy Jarecki didn't disappoint me with her first book in her Highland Force series. Since, I love Scottish romances, this pirate adventure had everything to please me, a sexy Chief clan and a young English lady! I loved her two main characters Calum and Anne. The story starts as Anne, who was married by proxy to an old man, is captured by Calum a Scottish Laird, turned pirate to provide for his clan's welfare. He decides to hold her captive and demand a ransom for her, but did not plan to feel a strong attraction for her. The moment they meet, sparks flare; beautiful chemistry between Calum and Anne. Will the captor be able to resist to his captive? Will she escape this dangerous rake? Will the attraction be mutual? The story is very well written, some scenes are filled with lots of emotions and the intrigue well developed. I relay enjoyed this Scottish story and looking forward to Ms. Jarecki's next book THE HIGHLAND HENCHMAN, to be released on April 1st.
